A few times each year we scatter as a church on a Sunday morning, rather than have our regular worship gathering. The church is the body of Christ, and we get to practice being the hands of feet of Jesus in our local community.

We have four different sites Please sign up for one, and come with a joyful heart ready to serve.

The plan is to meet after serving at ATLAS MILL PARK in CDA @12:30 for grilled burgers, juicy watermelon, and chips for your lips. We’ll also have some cornhole, frisbee, bounce-house for the kids, etc… It’s right by the water, so bring a lawn-chair, your bathing suit, and feel free to hang out for the afternoon if you choose. Should be a great day together.

This summer we are beginning a journey through the Songs of Ascent- a collection of Psalms sung by pilgrims making their way up to Jerusalem. Just like a backcountry trek, this journey is full of challenges, reflection, and moments that draw us into God’s presence.

Think of the Psalms of Ascent as a road trip playlist for the soul. Each week, we’ll unpack an ancient song, with the goal of adding it to our personal playlist. Life is a journey, and it’s best lived with a soundtrack, that not only resonates with our deepest longings, but is true, and makes the journey together so much richer.

So let’s lace up our boots, breath the mountain air, and let our hearts ascend with these ancient songs.
